Comics Museum Moves Uptown, Rescued by Society of Illustrators

  

Just in the nick of time, a museum devoted to the art of comics and cartoons is being saved, but Superman or Batman aren’t the ones to thank.

The Society of Illustrators, an uptown Manhattan institution, will incorporate the holdings of the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art into its own collection. If superheroes can join together, like in “The Avengers,” why can’t nonprofits collaborate, too?
