BRAMPTON — Legendary comic book artist Ken Lashley will be appearing at Stadium Comics at Shoppers World Mall this Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. to sign copies of his latest release from DC Comics, Superman: Doomed #1.
The comic involves the return of Superman villain Doomsday, who previously fought a battle with the Man of Steel in the early 1990’s that lead to the infamous “Death of Superman” story, which remains one of the best selling comic books of all time.
“Superman vs. Doomsday is one of the all time great comic book match-ups,” says Kevin Hickey, co-owner of Stadium Comics. “This battle ends a little differently from the way it did back in the 1990s, and I think people will be very surprised by the last few pages”.
Ken Lashley has worked as an illustrator on countless titles for both DC Comics and Marvel Comics such as Superman, Superboy, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Suicide Squad, X-Men, Black Panther, and The Flash. Ken has also worked extensively with Hasbro and Lucasfilm on several Star Wars-related projects.
“We’re happy to welcome Ken back to our store,” Hickey said. “Comic fans love meeting him in person, and when they see the work he’s done within the pages of Superman: Doomed #1, they’ll be glad they came by to get their copy of the book signed!”
