Now that we know the title for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel has been officially named as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice it has been hinted that an iconic Batman villain could feature in the eagerly awaited follow up.
Cinematographer Larry Fong took to Instagram to upload a photo depicting a playing card, which has long been a trademark of the iconic Batman villain The Joker, leading fans to speculate that the Clown Prince of Crime will appear in the film.
The picture has caused tremendous speculation online, although some have pointed out that the playing card could have been in reference to a trick by magician Ricky Jay.
Warner Bros. have yet to confirm or deny these reports, however we do know that The Joker will eventually feature in Fox’s Batman prequel TV series Gotham which has nothing to do with Zack Snyder’s film.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter and Ray Fisher and is set to hit UK screens on April 29 2016 while US audience will see it from May 6 2016 when it goes toe-to-toe with Marvel’s Captain America 3.
