DETROIT, MI — If you’re eager to find out more about the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” film that was shot in several parts of Michigan last year, you’ll want to pay attention to the DC Comics company.
A video on DCAllAccess.com posted Jan. 26 teases news expected to surface this month about the highly anticipated film starring Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman) that will be released on March 25, 2016.
The new season of the “DC All Access” show for the website starts Tuesday. Check out a preview video in the YouTube player below. New episodes are posted every Tuesday.
“Batman v Superman,” directed by Zack Snyder, filmed scenes in Detroit and other parts of Michigan last summer and into the fall. It is expected to be released March 25, 2016.
The movie also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
“Batman v. Superman,” according to the Michigan Film Office, was considered the most expensive movie to ever be filmed in our state.
Filming wrapped up in early October.
The film office awarded “Batman vs. Superman” filmmakers during the summer of 2013 an incentive of $35 million on $131 million of projected in-state expenditures.
