To amend the flak of DC Comics’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad”, Warner Bros vowed to appease the fan’s dissatisfaction through “Justice League”.
Warner Bros wanted the next DC Comics film to be less grim and depressing than “Batman v Superman.” Two executives were appointed to oversee the production to meet the requirements — DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns and veteran production executive Jon Berg.
In an interview with Wall Street Journal, they talked about how they want to make “Justice League” to have better mood than the previous movies.
“Mistakenly in the past I think the studio has said, ‘Oh, DC films are gritty and dark and that’s what makes them different.’ That couldn’t be more wrong,” Johns said.
Berg also confirmed the new DC film will be hopeful and optimistic as reported by Game Spot. The Warner Bros executives also explained that production team canceled the idea to cut “Justice League” into two parts. The movie will be made as one part to accelerate the optimism and hope.
Meanwhile, the filming of “Justice League” is reported to move to Iceland for certain scenes soon. The movie will begin filming in the Westfjords, Iceland in October and November.
According to Comicbook.com, the location primary set is in Djúpavík village, a village that only inhabited by two people.
“Justice League” will showcase all top DC Comics superheroes with Batman will be in charge to assemble the meta humans into a team.
Actor Ben Affleck along with Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa will continue their previous role in “Batman v Superman” as Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman respectively. While Ray Fisher is cast as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as Flash.
In order to appease DC Comics fans, Warner Bros has released an official trailer of “Justice League” for Comic Con event. You can watch the trailer below.
